Four Angry Men From China Are Champions of PMGC League

After a series of gruelling matches featuring the world’s best teams, the prestigious PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) League came to a close last Sunday with Chinese team Four Angry Men (4AM) emerging as overall champions.

They walk away with the grand prize of US$300,000 while the first runners-up, Bigetron Red Aliens (BTR) from Indonesia, had to settle with second place and a tidy sum of US$125,000. With their victory, 4AM have secured a coveted spot in the Finals in Dubai from January 21 to 24 next year, featuring 15 other top-rated teams including Team Secret from Malaysia.

Team Secret are the SEA representatives at the PMGC Grand Finals.

The biggest tournament in PUBG Mobile’s history, PMGC Season Zero features 24 professional teams from around the world competing for four weeks from 24 November to 20 December 2020. After 108 gruelling matches, only the best 16 teams managed to qualify for the finals, where they will compete for a slice of the whopping US$2 million prize pool.

The world’s best 16 teams will compete in Dubai next year at the PMGC finals.

4AM’s journey to the grand finals was not easy as they faced stiff competition from Bigetron Red Aliens (BTR), who were at the top of the standings after Week 3 of Super Weekend. 4AM’s victory was finally secured in the Super Weekend tournament last week after gaining a 70-point lead against the Indonesians.

One of 4AM’s players, 33Svan, was named League MVP and won US$10,000.

The other 15 teams that will move on to the next round are: Team Secret (Malaysia); Bigetron Red Aliens and Aerowolf Limax (Indonesia); RRQ AThena, Secret Jin and POWER888 KPS (Thailand); Konina Power (Commonwealth of Independent States); Klas Digital Athletic and Futbolist (Turkey); Nova Esports (China); Abrupt Slayers (Nepal); A7 eSports (Brazil); ZEUS ESPORT (Mongolia); Natus Vincere (Russia); and A1 eSports (Bangladesh).

“Congratulations to all teams who have successfully qualified to the final stage. Again, we will show our commitment to provide a breakthrough in mobile esports events and present the best watching experience of esports tournaments for fans around the world. Witness and look forward to another surprise at the first PMGC Champion in Dubai,” said Gaga Li, Head of PUBG Mobile SEA Esports.

To honour the six Southeast Asian teams that qualified for the finals, PUBG Mobile is hosting an event called “SEA Teams are Fighting For You”, where players get a chance to win an AG X100 coupon and Supply Crate. Players can also get other attractive rewards, such as exclusive outfit on the “Fight For PMGC” #S.E.A.PRIDE event, by completing missions from December 12 2020 to January 3 2021.
